That's itĪll in all, I'd rate this fitness tracker 3* max for what it does and 0* for all the things it doesn't do. Just completed a custom work out? You can see a heart rate graph, energy burned which just repeats the calorie value you were forced to type in when you created the activity log entry) and impact (steps, calories (again a repeat of what you typed in) and zone minutes. Last night, apparently my skin temperature all night was 0.0F (I'm surprised I'm able to type this -) ) My watch has never produced a Breathing Rate metric (it says no data). I wear my watch all the time and take it off only to charge it. Apparently that is still not long enough for it to give me a detailed Stress Management score until the next day been wearing my watch for about a month. From that I'm supposed to be able to tell my sleep stages? so you can't easily determine your exact heart rate at at a specific spot in the workout For heart rate it is minimum, maximum and average. many of the graphs have only 3 values on the Y-axis. When you do join Premium, the nagging doesn't stop. it constantly nags you to join FitBit Premium and it gives you a 6 month free trial. for custom exercises, you have to enter your expected calorie expenditure - the watch won't calculate your calorie output during your work out? Excuse me? That's what I bought the watch for Can't start custom exercises from the phone app. can't start custom exercises from the watch. Have had it for about a month now and am very disappointed in the functionality, user experience and UI / UX. I just can't really rely on it for "steps" lol, which is fair, as I don't really take a step :P but it would be nice if there was a wheelchair option, and instead of run/walk there'd be a "wheel" option or something.īought the Charge 5 because it earned Consumer's Reports top rating. However, it still gets the job done in terms of tracking HR, sleep, activity, etc. I haven't found a fitness tracker that's accurate for wheeling. for what it's worth I use a wheelchair due to a spinal cord injury. I hope that there will be more 3rd party apps & clock faces in the future! I dont use GPS built-in as I always have my phone with me, I prefer connected GPS, so its the same experience there. It's really fast pairing on my Galaxy S20, the battery life is good as long as you dont need always-on display (which I don't like anyway), and the analytics for sleep and HR are more accurate. I'm so glad I held out! this upgrade, especially coming from the 2, is such a wonderful experience. I really liked it and never saw a reason to upgrade even when the 4 came out with a bigger screen. I have had the fitbit charge 2 HR since it came out.
